Founded in 2024, Pinnacle Sports Group (PSG) was established with a clear purpose: to educate, prepare, and elevate athletes as they navigate the intersection of basketball, branding, and long-term career development. Built on the belief that sustainable success requires more than talent alone, PSG focuses on strategic guidance, athlete education, and exposure-driven opportunities that support growth both on and off the court.

PSG was founded by Jay Joyner, a former Division I Head Basketball Coach with over 20 years of coaching experience and eight years in leadership roles. Throughout his career, Jay has mentored student-athletes from their early developmental stages through collegiate competition and into professional pathways. This experience has given him firsthand insight into the challenges athletes face—athletically, academically, personally, and professionally—and shaped PSG’s education-first approach.

Beyond athlete development and brand-building support, Pinnacle Sports Group also designs and hosts basketball events, including tournaments and multi-team events (MTEs). These events are intentionally structured to provide competitive environments, meaningful exposure, and community engagement, while reinforcing PSG’s commitment to integrity, preparation, and long-term opportunity creation.

Today, PSG operates as a forward-thinking basketball and athlete development organization, combining coaching expertise, strategic planning, and global perspective.
